Bread & Jam Fest 2023

We went down to London for Bread and Jam Fest 2023 last week, where we had the opportunity to meet a huge range of interesting people. Bread and Jam helps emerging food and drink brands to grow and support them as they enter the market. Every year they hold many events which entrepreneurs are invited to attend. An opportunity to learn and network with others like themselves, industry leaders and agencies such as lawyers, consultants and designers who can support them on their exciting journey ahead. Round Brand Communication had the chance to exhibit over this two-day event.

Danny and myself came down to showcase who we are as Round. We are all ROUND creative and thrive to show our expertise in many forms. Therefore, leading up to the event, the team had worked on complying what Round is all about and what skills, talents and services we could offer to the delegates of the event.  As Round Brand Communication, we have a lot of different things to offer but how could we stand out among the many other stands? We wanted to leave a lasting impression on those we chatted to and even those simply walking past.

The event kicked off to a great start with floods of people wandering around the different stands in the hall. What we had to offer had began to create talk around the room. We were ‘the ones with the crumpets’. Was this the lasting impression that we had hoped for? Nevertheless, we had these crumpets which we were handing out to everyone and anyone walking past. One of our clients, Lakeland Bake amazingly helped us produce some epic crumpets which we branded as Round. Thank you once again for how amazing these turned out! These crumpets gave us many opportunities to share who we are and what we can do. We wanted to display a range of content at our stand, from animations to video editing, branding to social media, from AR to packaging.

I thought the AR jam jar was a key element to drawing people to our stand and ultimately made us stand out. This jam jar was the example of using AR to create three dimensional visuals of a product, in this case, a jam jar, without needing to physically produce it. While there were 4 jars on the phone screen, only 3 were real. This jam jar was not only cool but the photorealistic concept offers a more sustainable solution to those who might want to propose their brand to a potential market.

It was quite interesting to connect with other professionals and exhibitors around the room and hear about previous experiences at the event. I, and Danny I am sure too, were grateful to participate in this year’s event and look forward to future partnerships with Bread and Jam. As this was our first time, we didn’t know what to expect however, I think it was overall very successful! Bread and Jam was a great experience for myself as I continue to grow, gain confidence and learn new things as a young graphic designer.

Until next time!
